Pickup is typically scheduled within a few business days. Once the vehicle sells at auction, the charity receives its proceeds and you receive your tax documentation shortly after. From your first phone call to receiving your tax documents, the entire process usually takes a few weeks.

Step 1: Schedule Pickup (1–3 Days)

After your first call to (888) 579-5544, pickup is typically scheduled within 24 hrs. In metro areas, next-day or sometimes same-day pickup is possible. Rural addresses may take slightly longer depending on tow routing, but the pickup is always free.

What speeds up scheduling:

• Title in hand — the cleanest path and the fastest.
• Accurate location details — gate codes, access notes, and parking restrictions.
• Keys available — confirms the vehicle is ready for tow.
• Knowing if the car runs — helps dispatch assign the right truck.

Step 2: Vehicle Is Towed (Pickup Day)

On the scheduled day, a licensed tow truck arrives at your location. The driver handles the vehicle, and you sign the title over to the charity. The process takes about 15–30 minutes on site. Be sure to:

• Remove personal belongings from the vehicle.
• Remove license plates if your state requires it.
• File a release of liability with your DMV on the day of pickup.
• Keep the tow receipt and copies of all signed documents.
• Cancel insurance only after the vehicle has physically left your property.
