Why Free Pickup Wins for Most People

Pickup costs you nothing, takes about 15 minutes, and doesn't require the car to be legal, insured, or running for the drive. For non-runners, unregistered vehicles, or anyone short on time, the tow truck is the obvious choice.

When Drop-Off Might Make Sense

A small number of donors prefer to deliver a running vehicle themselves. If that's you, call (888) 579-5544 first to confirm a receiving location, hours, and what paperwork to bring — never just show up.

The Paperwork Is the Same

Either way you'll sign over the title, get a receipt, and receive Form 1098-C later if the vehicle sells for more than $500. The only difference is who does the driving.
