Cost and Timing

Is pickup really free? Yes — towing is always free, nationwide, running or not. How fast? Most pickups are scheduled within 24 hrs. Can I pick the day? Yes, you choose the window that works for you.

Paperwork and Presence

Do I need the title? Usually yes — but lost, lien-held, or inherited titles have workarounds, so call first. Do I need to be there? Not always; absent-donor pickups can be arranged. Do I need keys? Helpful, but tell dispatch if they're lost.

The Vehicle Itself

Does it need to run? No. Flat tires or missing wheels? Usually fine with notice. What happens after? The vehicle is sold, and proceeds support veteran programs. If it sells for over $500 you receive IRS Form 1098-C for your deduction. Questions? Call (888) 579-5544.
