Everything about car donation pickup: scheduling windows, access requirements, what to remove, and what you receive at the curb.
Free pickup nationwide — cars, trucks, SUVs, vans, and boats, running or not.
Call 888-579-5544Pickup starts with one call to 888-579-5544 or a short form. The coordinator confirms the vehicle details, the exact address, whether the vehicle rolls and steers, and who will be present.
Most pickups are scheduled within 24-72 hours; you choose a window that fits your schedule.
Tow operators need to know about low garage clearance, narrow alleys, locked gates, HOA restrictions, apartment parking rules, steep driveways, soft grass or mud, and flat or missing tires. Each of those changes which truck is dispatched.
Reporting them upfront prevents a failed pickup and a second appointment.
Personal documents, garage remotes, toll transponders, insurance cards, phone mounts, child seats, and anything in the trunk or under the seats. Check the glovebox and spare tire well.
Leave the vehicle's own equipment — jack, spare, manuals — with the car.
Many donors arrange an unattended pickup by leaving the signed title and keys in an agreed spot after confirming details by phone. The operator leaves the receipt or emails it.
If you prefer to be present, ask for a narrower window when booking.
File your DMV release of liability the same day, remove the plates if your state requires it, and cancel insurance once the vehicle is gone. Keep the tow receipt until your 1098-C or acknowledgment arrives.
Nothing else is required of you.
